Full disclosure: most of these are either slouchy beanies or flapper-style hats, since those are some of my favorites to wear. I found all these on ravelry.com (which is this neverending rabbit-hole of patterns that will consume you entirely and you should totally join it there are so many patterns), but there is also the free crochet pattern directory at crochetpatterncentral.com.

This adorable cat hoodie can be crocheted up in time for halloween to keep your baby warm and snuggly while looking cute as a kitten. Meow!~ It has a super cute cat eared hood with appliqued embellishments and features options for closed sleeves (to look like paws) or regular sleeves for fussier kittens.
How many chains should I make to begin? Crochet - one example of a ‘real-world’ application of algebra! (Sorry!) Chain: 2 x (the number of stars you wish to make), + 4 extra chains. e.g. for a row of 5 stars, 2(5)+4 = 14 chains.
Note: you don’t have to begin with a chain! To start a row of star stitches mid-way through a project, skip straight to part 4.
There are several variations on the star stitch. If you look at another tutorial and compare it to this one, you’ll probably find differences. This is the way I like to do it - but feel free to play around!
I feel I come to you so often with these pleas. This time, it is on behalf of my mother and her eldest cat.
This is my mother’s cat Bagheera. He is in need of medical care, but both my mother and father are disabled, living off her monthly disability check, and lost their home in November of 2014. They are living with me, but we don’t have the finances right now to help them with Bagheera. If you could please help, we’d be so appreciative. We even got a few incentives available for donations.
She’s six years old and belongs to my friend, Kammie. She’s one of those animated cats that wants to let you know how she feels and wants to be right up in your face at all times. She’s more a person than some people I know. We jokingly call her Seeker-kitteh because she will seek you out for attention and affection. Well, and she reminds people of Starscream from Transformers.
She’s also in need of vet care that Kammie needs help affording. In her own words:
Dakota is normally a very healthy cat, however I noticed that she was acting off when I came home last Friday (1/9/15). She moved about sluggishly as if she was drunk, and her eyes were heavily dilated. We took her to the emergency vet, and they wanted to run a battery of tests on her. She had a seizure, but we do not know the cause of it, and need to find out for her treatment. She needs blood work, as well as testing, and medicine to stop the seizures. We had hoped that it was a one time thing, unfortunately it is not. She has had three since we first saw the emergency vet.
If anyone can help it would be much appreciated. If you know of any groups in the Indiana area that might help with medical bills please message me.
